FooBox is a lightbox plugin for WordPress that makes highlighting images, videos and HTML content extremely easy.
For me, it’s a gem in the rough: a lightbox plugin that does what it promises, covers all necessary scenarios and doesn’t leave any gaps. There’s so many lightbox plugins out there that underwhelm me, that I’ve feel like I’ve struck gold now that I’ve found one that works and meets all of my needs.
FooBox integrates with every conceivable media element: it’ll transform your WordPress image galleries (it’ll even work with NextGen Gallery if you happen to use that), you can use it to post videos, and you can put plain HTML in there, meaning you can include mailing list sign-up forms, testimonials, or anything else you want.
Furthermore, you can add captions and titles to each image or video to add further details and make a really stylish presentation of your media.
FooBox is fully responsive so that you can display your media on any device, which makes for one less thing for you to worry about.
FooBox also has a variety of options that allow you to refine how your lightbox appears. You can select from a variety of arrows, animations and loading icons, modify the appearance of captions and titles, automatically apply the lightbox to images and galleries, add custom CSS and JS and a whole lot more.
If you’ve been looking for a lightbox plugin and been disappointed with what you’ve found so far, give FooBox a shot. It’s fantastic.
