The WP Butler: More bang for less buck

I launched The WP Butler about 8 months ago and it has grown slowly but surely. The service, for those who don’t know, provides back-ups, updates and malware scans on a regular basis for your WordPress site, as well as reviewing security and having a WordPress expert ready to help with whatever WordPress questions or issues you may have.

The original service was a good starting point, but now that I have got into the swing of things and revised some of the tools that I use to perform my work, I have been able to revise the plans, to offer more services, for less money.

The plans used to start at $30/mo, but I’m happy to report that we’ve been able to lower the barrier to entry and the basic plan is now just $19/mo, which includes daily database backups, weekly complete backups, weekly malware scans and everything updated at least weekly.

You also get unlimited email support, so any time you have a question about WordPress, you can just send me an email and get a well-thought out response from someone in the know. I think that this is where the service really shows its value.

On top of all of that, you also get a complete security review and improvements, a 20% discount on our development rate and a monthly status report, showing everything that we have done on your site. Not bad for $19 a month, huh!?

If you need development on a regular basis, or more frequent backups, then our more premium plans may be more to your liking. Our premium plan is $59/mo and includes an hour of development time every month to use for whatever you want. You also get uptime monitoring, priority support including support by phone if you like, speed and caching improvements, regular database optimisation and access to our library of premium plugins (such as Gravity Forms and Soliloquy), for free. A substantial upgrade for those who need a little more than just the essentials.

And then there’s our pro plan, which is down to $99/mo, and includes front-of-the-line support, two hours of development time every month, a 40% discount on our development rate, database backups thrice daily and a complete backup every day, weekly status reports and daily database optimisation to keep your site running as smooth as possible. This is the perfect plan whose website is critical to their operations, such as businesses, or professional bloggers.

And if none of the plans exactly meet your needs, we can always build a custom plan for you. Just enquire within.

So, you’ve already seen that you’re getting more for your money, and you’re not having to pay as much, but the extra bonus is that since you’re a reader of Do It With WordPress, you’re also entitled to an extra 15% on all plans by using coupon code DIWW during signup. And since we’re talking about discounts, I’ll also mention that newsletter subscribers get a coupon for 25% off all plans.

So what are you waiting for? If you’re not great at staying on top of your WordPress maintenance, or need an expert on hand to answer all of your questions, now is the time to sign up and get a great deal.
